Ryan Skrocki began dancing at the age of 10 here in Oviedo, Florida and was immediately captivated by all it had to offer. Ryan began training in Hip Hop and Jazz and fell in love with Musical Theater and took the stage by force dancing and acting up a storm and beginning his competition career. He began training under Maria Weatherbee when he was 14 and his passion for dance only grew bigger as he was introduced to many other styles of dance with a stronger technical structure.
Under the instruction of Maria Weatherbee, Ryan went to win many awards including overall, title and scholarship awards at competitions both regionally and nationally. Some of Ryan’s accomplishments include: “Super Soloist” at Encore Dance Competition, “Dancer of the Year” at American Dance Awards Orlando, “Mr. Teen Dance USA” at Dance USA, “Triple Threat Scholarship” at NYCDA Conventions and “Teen Mr. Starquest” at Starquest National Competition in Virginia Beach, VA.
After high school, Ryan had yet to satisfy his craving to perform but was able to after being hired by Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines. There, Ryan gained real world experience within the dance world that he has kept with him since. Ryan spent two years with Royal Caribbean doing two different contracts and traveling the globe dancing and entertaining thousands of people from different parts of the world. After his experiences on cruise ships Ryan wanted to get back in touch with his Musical Theater roots and explore a different life of performance.
Ryan recently has returned from Manchester, New Hampshire where he worked as a dancer/singer at the Palace Theatre and did productions such as Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and British Invasion. Ryan also works in Entertainment at Universal Studios Orlando and has dabbled in commercial work as a dancer for Party City. In the midst of all of the performing, Ryan is also a student at Valencia State College and his in the process of achieving his Business Administration Degree. Ryan plans to continue his professional career and hopes to learn more in the process.
With all of the exposure and training Ryan has, he is very excited to be teaching and choreographing for Integrity Dance Center. Growing up with Maria Weatherbee has his teacher and mentor, Ryan understands the values of Integrity and wants nothing more than to see students succeed in whatever they desire to do. With his positive attitude with a strict detail for discipline Ryan hopes that his students become more than dancers. He strives to bring out the performer in everyone and build the confidence they need to thrive in the dance world as well as real world.
In addition to teaching at Integrity, Ryan is currently performing at Hollywood Studios in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast
